Looking Up At KLCC

KLCC, Kuala Lumpur City Center. It's the part of the city that's a massive, pre-planned modern development. As commerce drifted from the initial center of town, KL planners decided to raze the Selangor Turf Club in 1988 and build a new downtown filled with skyscrapers. They're still building.

Besides the anchor of the mighty, landmark of the Petronas Towers, there are many other buildings to tempt your eyes to the sky.

Looking a bit all tucked in.

Zoning? Style? Just build big, baby. Some brand name architects have planted a stake. The triangle looking building is designed by Norman Foster.

Plenty of pockets left to be developed. Your Building Here.

Another interesting building, the Tabung Haji. It's built in the style of a traditional Malaysian drum and is the headquarters for the organization that organizes sending people to the Haj. More fun stuff, buildings imitating hanging gardens of Babylon.

Construction equipment, lined up, ready to help produce the next skyscraper.
